At last the wait is over the one you have all been waiting for, after 2 years of painstaking work one lucky person will be winning this freshly restored Jewel Violet Escort Cosworth Monte!
We bought this with the intentions of giving it a full respray but then after realising just how rare it is that we should go all out and restore the underside to OE finish as well. These very rarely come up for sale on the open market let alone to win, we will certainly all be very sad too see this one leave the DCG stable after all of this work. The cheapest one for sale is currently £110,000!
Available from February 1994 a limited run of just 200 examples this being number 74, a mere 73 were RHD for the UK market with just a handful being in Jewel Violet. Named the Monte Carlo in tribute to Francois Delecour's victory of the Monte Carlo rally.
Lots of other little bits have been replaced where available, such as new badges, trim clips, trims, side lights etc to finish off the car. It's been a very long process!
